What we do

From a single stump to a whole building pad. Pick the job, see how we handle it.

How a job goes

No mystery, no runaround. The same four steps whether it is one stump or a full site.

1

Tell us what needs done

Call or text (567) 644-5992 with a description, photos help a lot. You are talking to the owner from the first message, so you get a real read on the job right away, not a callback from a scheduler three days later.

2

We walk it and give you a number

For most jobs we come look at the ground before we quote it, because dirt hides things and guessing serves nobody. You get a straight price and an honest read on timing, and you decide from there. No pressure, no follow-up campaign.

3

The work gets done right

The person who quoted your job is the person in the machine doing it. Grade gets checked, water gets thought about, and anything we find that changes the picture gets discussed with you before it becomes a line on an invoice.

4

Clean finish, every time

Debris hauled, ruts repaired, topsoil and seed where the ground was opened. The job is done when the property looks right, not when the machine leaves. That is the detail people mention about us, and we intend to keep it that way.

For homeowners

Most of our residential calls start with something that has been bugging you for years: the yard that floods every spring, the stump you mow around, the shed that leans, the cracked patio nobody wants to jackhammer by hand. These are exactly the right size of job for an owner-operated outfit, big enough to need real equipment, small enough that a big contractor will not return your call.

We show up when we say we will, do what we quoted, and leave the place cleaner than we found it. A surprising amount of our work comes from neighbors watching us work across the fence.

For farms

This is farm country and we are built for it. Bin pads and barn approaches that stay firm through a wet spring, lanes crowned to shed water instead of holding it, fence lines augered straight and to depth, and the old outbuildings that have donated all they are going to donate taken down and hauled off.

We schedule around planting and harvest like everybody else here plans their lives, and combined jobs on one mobilization keep the cost sensible. If we are already on your place, the second and third items on the list get cheaper.

The kind of outfit you can wave down at the feed mill

Patterson Dirtscapes is an owner-operated LLC out of Yorkshire, Ohio. When you call, you talk to the person who runs the equipment. When we quote a job, that is the person standing in your yard, and the same one who makes it right if something is not.

“Patterson Dirtscapes LLC did an outstanding job on my yard, everything turned out better than I expected. The attention to detail was top-notch, and they made sure everything was cleaned up perfectly when they were done. Nathan is a hardworking guy who clearly takes pride in what he does, and he was great to work with throughout the whole process. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone needing quality work done.”— Logan Brunswick, Google review

You can see recent projects on our Facebook page, including the park cleanup in Osgood where an outdated volleyball court went back to being usable green space.

More about us

Where we work

Based in Yorkshire, in the corner where Darke, Mercer, and Auglaize counties meet.

Everything inside roughly a twenty-minute run is everyday territory: Versailles, Osgood, Minster, Coldwater, Fort Recovery, St. Henry, and every township lane in between. Short drives are not a small thing in this business, they are why a single stump or a half-day cleanup still makes financial sense for both of us, and why we can walk a job this week instead of three weeks out.

Common questions

Can I text you instead of calling?

Yes, and plenty of people do. Text (567) 644-5992 with what you have going on, photos help a lot. You will hear back from the owner, not a call center.

Do you handle small jobs?

Yes. A single stump, one gate post, a torn-up patch of yard, small jobs are welcome and they are how most of our long-term customers found us.

How fast can you get to my project?

Depends on the season and the weather, dirt work is honest about both. Reach out with your timeline and we will give you a real answer instead of a promise we cannot keep.
