Dirt work in Versailles
Versailles is one of the first towns we head to from the home place outside Yorkshire. New construction on the edges of town means builder-rough yards that need finish grading and seed, and the older tree-lined streets in the middle of town keep the stump grinder busy.
Outside the village limits it is working farm country, the same poultry, grain, and livestock operations we grew up around. Barn pads, farm lanes, fence-line augering, and the endless small dirt jobs a working farm generates are all a short drive for our equipment.
Being ten minutes away matters on small jobs. A contractor coming from Sidney or Troy has to charge you for the drive; we are practically neighbors, so a single stump or a half-day cleanup still makes sense for both of us.
